Tour Introduction

Mt. Kailash (6714 m) - one of the popular mountain peak of Tibet, which is also known by the name of Tise, Kailash or Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the Snows) has since time immemorial been celebrated in many eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis-mundi. Mt.Meru (Kailash) is sacred to the hindus, the buddhists, the Jains, & the Bonpos, takenas the center of the physical & metaphysical universe.

Our Tibetan guide meets you at the airport and escorts you to the main city (Lhasa) which is 98 km away from the airport. In Lhasa, we make two days guided sightseeing tour for two days that covers almost all the highlighted places situated inside Lhasa. After that we start our journey to Mt. Kailash and lake Manasarovar via Gynatse, Shigatse and Sakya Monastery. As usual, “Lhasa to Mt. Kailash Tour” consists of a 3 days circumambulation around holy Mt. Kailash. The tour ends at Zhang-Mu.

The tour offers rigorous overland driving, trekking and camping, passing the remote and wild western Tibet , in altitudes between 2,745m/9,000ft and 4,880m / 16,000ft and hiking to a maximum of 5100m / 18,400ft.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu (1300m.),
Pick up from the airport/transfer to your hotel. Time permitting, you may want to start exploring the capital city (local guides are available). In the evening, meet the group for dinner and a trip briefing.

Day 2: Kathmandu (1300m.),
After breakfast, we set out for a guided tour of Kathmandu's holy sites, including Pashupatinath and Boudanath, before heading back to the hotel for lunch. The afternoon is spent making final preparations for the trip. Staff members can assist you in buying or renting any missing gear, and you may check any unnecessary luggage.

Day 3: Drive to Neyalam (150km), 36500m,
We embark on our journey at 5:00am, stopping in Dhulikhel (1 hour 30 mins drive) for breakfast or we do start after breakfast from Kathmandu itself. After leaving Dhulikhel, the road follows the valleys of the Sunkosi and Bhotakosi rivers, passing through lush countryside and dramatic cliffs. We reach the Tibet border in the afternoon, then continue on to either Zhangmu (2300m) or Nyalam (3750m), depending on road conditions. Overnight in a local hotel.

Day 4: Rest Day at Neyalam, 3750m,
This day gives us a chance to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude in Nyalam (3750m). It is important to stay hydrated and extremely aware of your body's physical condition, which the staff will monitor at all times.

Day 5:New dongpa to saga,4500 m,stay at hotel,(breakfast-lunch- dinner)

Day 6:saga to lake mansarover,4500m 385km,stay at chu gompa stay at hotel (breakfast-lunch-dinner)

Day.7: puja,hawan,worship,afternoon drive to darchen(4560m)30 km.(stay at hotel)

Day 8.Darchen to diraphuk,4890m,18km 5/6 hours walk, stay at lodge/tent(breakfat-lunch-dinner)

Day 9:Dolmala pass,22km, 5600m to zuthulphuk,4790 m,walk around 8/10 hours,stay at lodge/tent(breakfast-lunch-dinner).

Day 10.zuthulphuk to paryangvia mansarover horchu walk 8 km finished the trek drive to darchen stay at hotel(breakfast-lunch-dinner)

Day 11:Drive back to nyalam, stay at lodge(breakfat-lunch-dinner)

Day 12:Drive nayalam to kathmandu stay at hotel(breakfat-lunch-dinner)

Day 13:After breakfast proced for own word your journy
